Former site of the Boulevard Room, in what was then the Conrad Hilton Hotel. It was the location of one of Chicago's main floor shows where many magicians performed. Harry Blackstone Jr got his big break when he joined Miss Abbott's ice review show (no relation to Abbott's Magic) at this hotel.
Built as the Stevens Hotel, once the world's largest hotel, it also featured magicians under that name. In 1939 Joan Brandon performed here. In the late 1940s, Channing Pollack performed here and Johnny Thompson wrote the musical score for the show.
